Initiator and Challenger

life itself confronts and intiates one
can s/he overcome natural preferences?

The dark woman of knowledge
a well of inspiration rebirths the god
for in his drinking he becomes the water
and as this door opens
unexpectedly the challenger comes through.
She demands her debts to be repaid
This second death gives new life,
a womb to be born from rebirths the god
She delivers the truth

she places the baby in the fire
not to burn it
but because with proper time
she burns away mortality
and makes the baby immortal

when pressed for meanings
the dark lady shaman sez
" you must choose to have your wife ugly by day and beautiful at night or beautiful by day and ugly at night"
unable to decide between public shame or private misery the chivalrous knight bids her to decide for herself.

"That is the answer to the riddle" exclaimed the dark woman of knowledge," for women desire to have sovereignty over the men they love".

one must release the challenger to be released.
With the challenger nothing is given for nothing,
but when she is unselfishly repaid,
she is herself generous.

at the point of death there can be no deception.
if this were ones last moment would death respect it?
