One achieves liberation only in the act of liberation. The moment that one asks to bring about ones liberation, the beloved does it. The beloved is the component of ones consciousness that has the function of liberating one. That is its only function. There is a safety to ensure one wont be automatically liberated until ready - one has to consciously and deliberately ask for this liberation and then trust that the beloved will bring about the conditions for ones liberation. Then one takes it, thats all.

of myrrh dripping from attractive exotic hands
and then the heavenly caravan is gone before it has arrived
leaving only the perfumed breeze to prove it passed at all
