Currently we have two huge projects on the go. one is all adams doing - a sustainable educational community. The other is an ongoing earth healing installation- mitigating or resolving geopathic stress caused by construction and pathogenic feng shui.

We are meeting daily and weekly for meditation food and teachings in both the Kensington market area and North York. Email fnordj@gmail.com if you wish to be invited.

R and S are creating a workshop on making herbal products at home and beta testing this week.

Whats in the Balance?

 I continue working on an inquiry into the nature of the art of rock balancing.

Balancing is an ephemeral art because of its temporary nature . The weight of the rocks and rubble is something differing from other artistic media plentiful in this day and age. One is constrained to use locally sourced materials due to the weight. This makes more obvious the connection of the work to the space.

Public balancing is a highly social asocial activity. One is called to responsibly work in a publicly shared space with large dangerous sculptures that require zen states and work on self to create. You must make it safe and put the welfare of others before self. One must be able to sense the relationship to all who use the space and fulfill a variety of kinds of obligations.

This may be useful for work on self.

euphoria and misery and the dynamic balance contributed to by many forces

Everything in relationship contains forces that seem mutually exclusive and at the same time depend on one another.
the shady side of the hill is mutually interdependent with the sunny side.

ball and lance- two opposite states of the same stuff, like water and vapour
nothing in the world escapes this opposition
it is the force of this inner contradiction that is the motive of all change, development and decay.
The ball lance balance relationship
is normally in balance
a complementary unity
one contains the seed of the other
nothing is entirely one or the other, they are inseparable
they transform into each other cyclically.
this is called the way

night and day
there are four possible states of
out of balance
too much ball, shade, yin, contraction.
too much lance, sun, yang, expansion.
weakness of ball- not enough water, shade, material.
weakness of lance- not enough fire, sun, energy.
remember when conditions are right, ball and lance transform into each other
the egg becomes the chick when it gets the right heat

a stone however does not transform into a chick with heat

Look for the stone pagoda's on Queen st. near Spadina today Sat. June the 13th. We will start sometime after 3 pm or so.
Yesterdays balance ceremony happened on Bloor st. at Bruinswick. People joined in and it was engaging. Lady A was present with her friend Mike, they added some music to the evening. Himy showed up and did some T. (tee dot, himy's website) photography . Artist Steve griffith and his friend showed up and tried some balancing and now we are discussing a collaborative effort(painting words or symbols on the balances).

This is in front of Arcturus on Saturday.

This balance in the city art space has the word "CITY" formed on it. It was found while gathering the material for the City Art gallery show.
Just before the city art closing I pushed the envelope and was able to place another small stone on top.


Today sunday the 3rd of may I will be publically balancing at queen and spadina (a little east on queen.).

Rarely, such a coincidented one is ready and recognizes us and elects to become initiated into our house as a son or daughter and devote themselves to being shaped by a spiritual path before the Reality of the Higher Dimensions. We aim to have a house full of initiated guides.
