Whats in the Balance?

I continue working on an inquiry into the nature of the art of rock balancing.

Balancing is an ephemeral art because of its temporary nature . The weight of the rocks and rubble is something differing from other artistic media plentiful in this day and age. One is constrained to use locally sourced materials due to the weight. This makes more obvious the connection of the work to the space.

Public balancing is a highly social asocial activity. One is called to responsibly work in a publicly shared space with large dangerous sculptures that require zen states and work on self to create. You must make it safe and put the welfare of others before self. One must be able to sense the relationship to all who use the space and fulfill a variety of kinds of obligations.

This may be useful for work on self.

sprung springy my ding damey, whadatah!

a blessing on this house

Gratitude to Herne to Hunter for protecting us this winter. And love to Yew in the north, thank you eternally.

Vernal equinox has balanced the light and dark. The dark has lost the battle and retreats again until fall and the light continues its return, begun at yule tide , praise the light.

The journey for ashe, oh yeh!
we journey for ashe, oh yeh!

oh Guardian of the way, the way to ashe
if you kill me now, always i will live!
always i will return to seek the light
always i will seek the light, until i am found

blessed by Guardians, lay open the way
the way to ashe, oh yeh!
the way to ashe, oh yey!
oh yeh!
until i am found in the light of forever
return to the earth with ashe treasure
to spread among the limitless beings
oh yeh!
for the real benefit of all

Besides being a techno shamanic disorder, we are a fam. trad. (natural), so we celebrate the wheel of the year. Spring is honoured in the east on the stone balance wheel.
